Bill was undeniably the spark behind the Narconon Miracles Hockey
Team whose purpose was to raise funds and awareness for drug abuse
prevention and education. Through our team, he made truly significant
inroads for the program and many new friends who were attracted
to his youthful energy and spirited manner. We are eternally grateful
to have called him a friend and hope you will join us in supporting
his mission and passion.
For those who knew him, Bill was instrumental in forwarding the
life-changing impact of both Narconon International and The Way
To Happiness Foundation, and always seemed to find ways to join
those up with his other great passion - HOCKEY!
Born in Ottawa (need we say it's in Canada?), hockey had been
part of Bill's life for 50 years, literally. True to character,
he recently watched or listened to theNHL playoff games, had hockey
news read to him daily, and watched highlight reels of Canada
vs Russia. Bill also received a visit recently from an LA Kings
executive who wanted to express his gratitude for Bill's commitment
to the sport, the Kings organization, and most important, his
drug education and rehabilitation work.
Bill was one of the founders of the Narconon Miracles hockey
team and the driving force behind successful hockey fundraising
events that supported the drug prevention and rehabilitation efforts
of Narconon International. Bill was essential in bringing about
the following events and making a difference in the lives of those
involved:
Los Angeles Kings Alumni Association
Los Angeles Police Department
US Marines of Camp Pendleton
Phoenix Arizona Valley of the Sun Police and Fire Team
Club Armenia Hockey
and the following groups and countless people:
Narconon International
The Way to Happiness Foundation
The Hollywood Partnership for a Better Community
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
Women Veterans Esteem Program
Cease Fire Violence Prevention and Intervention
Thanks to all who were involved in supporting these events and
causes.
